Life After You

Since you left, I felt deeply. I felt numb. I traveled, went to concerts, wrote poems and a few short stories. I lost weight, then gained some back. I kissed a girl and a boy. I have been touched and hurt. I tried to paint, celebrated, laughed, and cried. I bought new perfumes, adopted a cat, changed my hair, and the color of the sofa. I saw the mountains, the Eternal City, the beach, the sky, and the ground.

But above all this, I have been missing you.  

Every single day.
